I had an early check out (5 a.m.) . I had already paid online before my check in. There was only one guy at the front desk (who was on the phone). I asked him to open the parking lot so I could get my car out. He then makes a weird request - "Can you transfer me 300 Chilean pesos from your bank account?". He then pulls out a wad of cash and says he has the money to give me back, but I just need to transfer 300 pesos from the bank account. With emphasis on my bank account. Bear in mind 300 pesos is like 30 cents only. He says it is for keeping the "hotel secured." That made no sense. I realized this guy was blatantly trying to scam the hotel guests. So, I said in a loud annoyed tone, "Absolutely not. I'm not transferring anything. ". He said something to his partner on the phone and hung up. And quickly walked out with me to open the parking lot. He didn't utter a word after that. I wasn't sure if this guy was a lone wolf or connected. So, I waited until I'm back home before writing this review. If the management is reading this, it was the person at the front desk on Nov24th early morning (5am). He was a little on the larger side. I couldn't read his name tag. On side note, the hotel itself was okay - small rooms but decent for a 1 night stay. There is off-campus parking.

Buyer beware,i booked a room at don luis but had to cancell.I gave enough notice of my cancellations but did not sem to matter as i was charged for the romm regardless.Now i am very concerned they will keep charging my card in the future.I have been warned of high criminal activety in chile and now i have experianced it without even entering the country

Si regreso a Puerto Montt lo elegiría como primera opción. A unos 100 metros de la avenida costanera, del shopping donde hay supermercado, en la explanada feria de artesanos y otros productos, de noche la esquina del hotel es tranquila porque no hay actividad comercial, asegura buen descanso si la habitación da a la calle. Variado desayuno buffet, buena atención personal, buena limpieza de la habitación, reposición toallas y amenities, camas confortables, el placar un poco chico para una habitación triple (pero nos arreglamos bien) a veces problemas con la señal wifi pero en la planta baja ningún inconveniente, llega hasta la acera si está fuera del hotel. Nada que criticar ni sugerir mejorar.

Con motivo de una celebración, viajé a la hermosa ciudad de Puerto Montt, hospedándose en el hotel Don Luis. Ubicado en el centro, dispones de todos los servicios que puedas necesitar. Las habitaciones son muy cómodas, amplias , luminosas, bien mantenidas y con una limpieza pulcra. Caja fuerte ,TV cable y wifi estable. El desayuno buffet es abundante y muy variado . El personal del hotel es muy amable e idóneo. Si tienes hambre y no deseas salir, recomiendo el restorán del hotel. Muy buena carta. Las personas que se desempeñan en Recepción son muy profesionales, eficientes y amables. Ofrecen una solución rápida a situaciones emergentes que complican pasajero. Menciono en especial a la Srita., Carolina y Srita., Camila( alumna en práctica). Sin lugar a dudas, cuando retorne a Puerto Montt reservaré nuevamente en Hotel Don Luis.

Gran decepción. Elegimos este hotel a través de Booking, pero por algo externo a nuestro control, se nos canceló el vuelo, y dado el tiempo, no alcanzamos a anular la reserva. Al llamar al Hotel, no se nos dio ninguna opción. Booking cobró y no hay devolución. Lo entiendo, pero quien me contestó el llamado no tuvo la amabilidad de acordar una nueva fecha para no perder el dinero. Lamento haber sido duro con ella, pero perdí el $ del hotel, pasaje en bus del otro día y la oportunidad de negocio que tenia acordado. No puedo recomendar este Hotel, cero empatia.

OJO!! Fui en enero y lo reservé con mi tarjeta de crédito de la cual quedaron registrados mis datos. En la fecha julio de 2024 me ingresa un consumo nuevamente el cual NO UTILICÉ. Claramente utilizaron los datos para realizar una estafa!! Lamentable que recurran a algo tan bajo.

El Hotel cumple con lo básico y quizás las 4 estrellas fueron de hace años. Las habitaciones cómodas, pero algo frías para la época (invierno, máxima 5°C), no disponen de regulación de temperatura y para el frío ofrecen estufas de convección eléctricas. La sala de gym sólo funciona la máquina elíptica, la presbanca en malas condiciones, no tienen implementos como mancuernas, colchonetas y la trotadora no funcionaba. El desayuno con amplia variedad de alimentos altos en azúcar, siempre jugo de naranja mezclado con mucha agua, poca variedad de frutas y alimentos saludables, durante los 4 días las alternativas eran huevos en todas sus variedades (huevo duro, pasta de huevo, huevos revueltos), las mismas tartas y queques. El personal en general tanto de recepción como del restaurant poco atento, jamás se acercaron a preguntar si necesitábamos algo, como andaba todo, con suerte un hola. Tanto en la llegada con el check out muy fría la atención, si bien llegamos temprano (14:00) y nuestro check in era las 15:00 lo primero que nos dijeron, el check in es a las 15:00 y lo otro que el check out es a las 11:00 am, y lo normal en general es a las 12:00. Por último, el aseo de la habitación es máximo a las 12:30 y comienzan a preguntarte ya a las 11:00 si dejaras la habitación.

Mala recepción y hotel muy helado sin calefacción. En mi caso, iba con niños menores de 3 años. Además había reservado habitación con 3 camas pero no les quedaban cuando llegué y tuvimos que dormir 4 personas en una cama matrimonial. El estacionamiento está a 2 cuadras del hotel y el sector no se ve muy seguro. El lugar solo tiene un restaurante, nada más.
